  Food was great and the atmosphere was too! The art work around there in amazing! We went around like 5pm and had great service and parking wasn't bad either for it to be downtown!

  The worst Yelp food order ever delivered to me. And it was not a problem with GrubHub. It's all on the restaurant.
  
  Food (Pizza particularly) was cold when delivered, but that was not the most disappointing part. I had ordered (and paid for) bottled coke and bottled water. What I received was a barely-full small "cup" of cherry-flavored soda (without signs of spills if that were to be an excuse!). And the worst part and somewhat insulting, was having "a small cup of tap water" delivered to me! Who needs your freaking tap water? I have tap water in my room if I wanted that. Is this your first ever food delivery? Did you look at my order to see what I paid you for? Or is there anyone in your business who thinks this is funny?
  
  I called the restaurant as soon as I opened the delivered bag and saw what I had received. As soon as I told the lady answering the phone that I was calling about a food order that had just been delivered to me, she put me on hold (not even hold, she put the receiver on the countertop while I could hear her joking with a girlfriend). I waited 20 minutes on the phone and then hung up and called again. The exact same thing happened (on hold, for 15 minutes this time until I hung up).

  I love black owned restaurants, you get that family atmosphere. Nice variety of music from the DJ. The cook came out & asked how do I like my wings & they were made with perfection. I ordered pizza & wings. Sorry no picture, I was hungry. Next time I will be sure to get some pictures of my food. Oh & they had $5 martinis & other drink specials.

  We had an amazing experience at Slice of Soul Pizza Lounge...we had the lemon pepper and the seasoned wings! They were fried to perfection! We also had the Bar BQKays pizza!! The Mud Island Iced Tea was delicious! Tell Wanda Makeda's Cookies sentcha! The entire staff was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was great! Salute to you slice of soul!

  I really liked this place. It really is a lounge and it's a cool place to hang out. The paintings and artwork are incredible. It definitely pays respect to Memphis and black history. Most of the art represents black leaders and black musicians. The music was all Motown, Blues, or Hiphop. I'd love to hang out here on a weekend night.
  
  I was disappointed with the pizza though. I found it to be very lackluster. It's a mix between Red Baron and high school cafeteria pizza. I think they make their own dough, but its not better than frozen. The wings did look pretty good, but I didn't get to try them. I asked if they make their own cheese sticks and they said they do. Now this was my fault, because in my head I was thinking about the deep fried breaded mozzarella sticks. It didn't occur to me that they might just make a cheese pizza and slice it differently. And of course that's what they did. I was very disappointed, but as I said, I made a mistake ordering and should have realized I wasn't ordering what I wanted.
  
  Anyway, if you're hanging out and having a good time the food will cure a case of hunger, but I won't come here against just to eat. Also, something odd. I came in about 12:30 lunch time. They were mopping the entire store during lunch rush! Come on guys! Do that another time!
